Clocks and Mirrors

As the clock ticks on

The world is asking what’s taking so long

It says that time is running out

You won’t be young, no you won’t be young forever

It’s so easy to be blind to your beauty

When you’re constantly being shown all that is wrong

Take a step back and you’ll see

That they can’t tell you who you’re supposed to be

These clocks

These clocks and mirrors

They control all that we are

Take a hold and raise the bar

Before you know it, your life will be half over

And you won’t recognize yourself

Take your life back and be free

Don’t let them tell you who you’re supposed to be

These clocks

These clocks and mirrors

They control all that we are

Take a hold and raise the bar

But no longer are we gonna stand silently by

Because we know that what’s inside is what counts

You are beautiful

Age is just a number and true beauty is what’s inside

You are beautiful

Age is just a number and true beauty is what’s inside of you so

Don’t let it get to you when they don’t understand

Why we’re throwing clocks

And breaking mirrors

We’ll defy those limitations and we’re gonna live our lives
